Can we have a place on the forum where people can post links to useful websites or recomend books?

There is so much out there it's difficult to know where to start when
trying to find out more about aspergers , it would be great to have
books and websites recommened by others.

Sorry Sarah, I missed your request there but strangely I added a resources section this evening then read your request afterwards!
Great minds I think!

well .. we have our coffee bar which is HERE.. ummm .. im not sure.. another forum im a member of (for guineapigs ) has..

Quote of the day

Adult lounge (its closed to those underaged obviously) adult jokes and funnies get posted there..

a Sanctuary section which is closed to the non members of the forum, its private and anything in there is posted in confidence.. it wont be leaked into the public sections for every tom dick or harry to see.. Its a section where you can post about ANYTHING as a release in "private" but still have the support of your forum friends ..

Thats all thats maybe relevant to here lol we dont need an 'adoption section or a 'medicine box (hmmm or do we?) .. dont think there is a need for a mistreatment or rescue discussion section ..
Seems im not much help after all ...

I completely appreciate all your ideas there Una

Really I want to keep the forum 'open' as such, no little secret bits. The only 'rule' is that to be able to post you need to be a member and that's it.
I was kind of thinking along the lines of broader AS subject areas that people can post into, for example today I put a food & nutrition section in here after noticing there are a lot of references to food dotted over the place.

Keep your thoughts coming in though!!

I was thinking, how about a section titled 'personal achievements'?

Could be any kind of achievement, no matter how small or big... maybe passing a driving test, going on a independant journey, a meal in a restaurant etc.

I did stick it in the forum early hours, I have some certificates I'd like to scan in from Alex. I'm looking forward in reading everyone's little achievements.
The other day I heard that a little boy created a play game for the first time and the parents were so pleased and happy, things like that are so warming.
