My letter to the headteacher & council

They may twig that it's to do with Alex, but the point of the letter was to be able to include everyone as a collective - I like writing letters [img]https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

The Boy wore said "I'm not naughty" badge but some little sod kept riping it off him.

He does however, like to advise the teachers that actually, what he is doing isn't naughty, and that maybe if they understood how much his ears hurt because he is autistic and they are speaking girl stuff (?) they would be a bit cross too.

I haven't tried the badges yet - expecting some little oik to borrow it perhaps!
I do have little aspergers and autism cards that I was going to give to the teachers - you'd kinda think they would be prepared!

I shall be writing a letter to them shortly, also thinking of doing an article for my local newspaper - stay tuned!

I've kind of replied to this in your other thread, but if your local council don't offer the sort of thing shown in the link I posted there, then you should show this as an example to the paper, see if you can shame the county council into it!!!!

[img]https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/lol.gif[/img] from what i understand the gov is looking to ensure all county councils have training available for schools and other agencies specifically on autism and aspergers so fingers crossed they might be prepared to listen

This is all I could find on our council page and it only relates to a specific special school.

Sounds like they would offer training and support to your school so it's a start. Perhaps you should contact the council next (by phone) and see what they have to say for themselves. Ask them if they've read your letter!
