I've always had the problem that i don't know when i'm getting stressed until i've cracked it at someone (usually my brother). how do you deal with stress and anger? any advice would be great!

Stress... Empty
PostSubject: Re: Stress...   Stress... EmptyTue 13 Oct 2009, 5:09 pm

I often find being very busy or lots of socialising stress me out and the best antidote is to spend some quiet time, either alone or with just one good friend or your partner.

That way you can relax without having to worry about what to do or say and you can put your feet up, watch your favourite TV program or read a book.

I also find jasmine tea helpful. I treat it as part of the 'me-time' ritual.

Hope this helps!

I'm pretty much like Rachel, either some serious 'me' time or something relaxing in my own home or a quiet room.

Being a 'boy' I find a good gaming session on the Xbox 360 usually does the trick... by the time I've zapped a million aliens and saved the planet, I usually feel quite good about myself!!

Oh, also... a good run over our heathland tends to [color:31b0=black]knock the stress out too, probably because when I get back home I'm too tired to worry! lol

Beverage wise a good cup of coffee is great for me, although caffeine isn't a relaxant it doesnt make me hype out either.

I like to go off on my own, put on some loud music and dance around like a lunatic until I'm worn out. That or I do some writing or drawing.

We just bought my lad a cart full of stress squeezers, I read somewhere that we can help him learn to recognise when he's getting wound up and have him focus the negative energy into pummeling the heck out of that so. Once he's done that he should be calm enough to talk through his feelings. We only got them delivered tofay but if they seem to be working I'm going to get him a giant one for Christmas so he can really go at it.

So many great things I could try here... ive decided to try 3 of them to start with!
1.Play with my dog (he's the closest i have to a parrot)
2.Go for a run
3.doing some writing or drawing

i would play on the xbox360 but my brothers always on it (sigh). Also jasmine tea sounds like a good idea...
