Ashlee does SUPER at school, each week adds more littel achievement certificates to our folder which is great.. It makes her want to try harder when she is acknowledged.. as im sure it does to most of us..

Something that has always let Ash down is her absolute FEAR in Public Speaking, getting up in front of even just her small class is enough to make her almost vomit.. She has had MANY moments of having to do a presentation infront of the class and the parents, and she has her little palm cards ready with a really ace presentation that would last quite a good few minutes.. She gets up, and is sitting back down in about 30 seconds having only read the first and last cards..

When she was in year 6 (two years ago) she completely shocked us all ..
The year 6 class always have a presentation evening towards the end of the year and they are presented with a little graduation certificate (so cute).. Anyways, they also all get to do little performances in groups for the parents on stage.. I kinda had a feeling this was going to be interesting as Ash wasnt in a group having no friends and there was a very slim chance of her getting up to do anything by herself.. She managed to find someone to do a performance with but that fell through so she was just going to sing with the whole class on stage and that was going to be it.. About 2 weeks before the night she came home SOOOOOOOoo excited and announced that she was going to be LEAD singer on stage with her school friends backing her up!! .. OH BOY!! hahahaa

I was happy and excited with her but deep down in my gut i was soooo worried she would pull out at the very last minute.. each day leading up to the night she would come home with stories of praise from her peers on how beautiful she sung and of how she was the only one in the class that knew the whole song.. I was worried teh pressure would become too much..

The night arrived and she was still REALLYYYYYY excited.. it was so different to what we were use too.. she was soooooo calm and just READY!!

Infront of a couple of hundred people my sweetheart beat her demons and SUNG! We were just soooooooooo PROUD!! It didnt matter if she was out of tune.. It didnt matter if she missed the beat.. she was up and DOING IT!!

What made it even MORE amazing to us was that she decided that instead of the curtain opening on her to sing on stage.. she started from the BACK of the hall and WALKED WHILE SINGING right down the center of EVERYONE to step up to the stage ..

It was just the BEST moment!!
